A fire has burnt a large part of the northwest area. The fire has burnt strong because it was so dry this year. When there is little rain and the wind is strong, the fires burn with an amazing intensity. They also burn fast, and move fast. That makes them very dangerous. This year the fire has burned more land than any fire in twenty years. It has burned everything in it’s path. Many people have had to leave their homes, and they don’t know when they can go back. They are waiting. Once the fire has burnt out they will go back.
