The children who went to New Springs Elementary School grew every year. Of course, children in any elementary school grow. But these children were a little different. They were growing up in the countryside away from their parents. Their parents felt the children grew faster when they lived away from home. The children grew more independent, and resourceful. That’s why their parents sent them to this school. Also, there were few luxuries on the campus, and no TV’s, so the children grew accustomed to studying and making their own games. One researcher studied the differences in their growing patterns compared to children in the city. It was interesting to find out how the children grew.
