Julia’s always met new people with a fresh expectation of something good. It made the other person feel good. She’s met them eye to eye, and always given a good firm handshake.
She’s met challenges the same way; she expects something good from a challenge. And her friends all know it. They’ve met her standards as being good people (Julia doe s not make friends with low quality people), and they have had the same expectations as she does.
For several years, she’s met up with her friends on Friday nights after work, on the way home. They like to go to the same restaurant, and have dinner together, and maybe a beer or two as well. Then they all promised to meet up again sometime over the weekend if they could.
