Grammar: Cost

Douglas likes new things. He also has expensive taste. He has bought a new car. The problem is, it cost too much. The car that he got is a Porsche. He loves to drive it, but it has cost too much. In fact, buying it hasn't been the only problem. Running the car has cost too much. It needs high octane gasoline. It needs the best oil. And parts for the car also cost too much. Just running the car has cost more than Douglas can afford. He shouldn't have bought this car.
