Hey, good morning.
Good morning, Les. How are you?
I'm awesome. How are you?
I'm great.
Hey, you know, I usually talk with Ed in that position where you are right now, but today it's you.
However,
yeah, fantastic.
Move Ed moves his head around and right behind your head is a painting that I want to ask you about.
Okay.
Tell me about it.
Okay. Um, this painting is painted by um Ed Edward's aunt.
Okay, good. Yeah.
And she's a Yeah, Edward is here. Um, she she is a professional artist.
Professional.
Yeah.
Cool. Cool.
Yeah. So, this painting is very special. I don't know if you can see it. Well,
I can't see it well, but
All right. So, do you want to explain?
Uh, all I want to say is that this painting has been in every house. I've ever lived in. My parents have one over their dining table. We have one over our dining table. My sister has one over her dining table.
Wow. It looks like another painting. It looks like another famous painting or maybe a a photograph of an Indian chief,
but I can't place it.
So, unique thing about this painting is that you you can see a different face.
Yeah.
If you place um Okay. A paper here. What do you see?
I see a fairly serious half face.
Okay. And then now, what do you see?
Uh, looks kind of different, doesn't it?
Yeah. So,
I'm not sure what answer to say, but it does look different. Yeah.
So, the one side is male and
Okay. And then the other side is
this side is male.
Okay. So this side is male.
Yes. Yes. Okay.
And this side is in the light because male spirit is the sun is the day spirit.
Okay.
And the other side is in darkness because it's the night spirit which is the female spirit.
Now that sounds almost like the eastern oriental philosophy of yin yin and yang.
Yes, there is some of that in in there, isn't there?
Yin. Uh, let's see. Yang is male and it's light. It's the white. You know the yin-yang symbol?
Yep.
Yes.
Yep. The male is the white and the female is the dark, the shadow, the valley.
Yeah. So, the jaw line is different.
Yes.
This is um
the lips are a little bit different.
That's right. And then the ornaments are different, too.
Oh,
and the shoulder the width of the shoulders.
Shoulders different. Oh my goodness.
The male side is wearing leather representing the hunter.
Okay.
But the female side is a woven fabric representing that women are weavers.
Yes. Yes. Yes.
And then also the male the left hand the male hand is holding the feather which is a symbol of power.
Okay.
But the right hand the female hand is caressing and supporting the male
representing mothers.
There's a lot of symbolism in there.
Yes. And the Title of this painting is Twin Souls.
Twin Souls.
Yeah.
Wow. I like it. I'm glad I asked that question.
Mhm. Well, thank you for asking. It's a great question.
Really cool. Yeah. No, no, it there's that's a great painting.
Thank you.
Yeah. So, what's up with you?
Um, I'm just uh getting ready to go to Smith.
Okay. Okay.
So, yeah, I have to uh get ready and leave in about five minutes.
I understand. Yeah.
Yeah.
And ride my bicycle to our classroom.
Yes. Yes. Yes. I hope you can hang out in the weather.
It's I hope so, too. I really don't like riding my bicycle in the rain.
That's right. That's right.
But it's got the weather forecast got a lot better. It's not going to rain as much.
I I hope so.
Yeah.
But but I guess if it rains then I will be walking home
pushing the bike.
Walking home. It takes about 40 minutes.
Yeah. Yeah.
Yeah.
Why don't you guys get a car?
Hm.
Why don't you get a car?
I don't like cars.
That's a good reason.
And you know it's I we are environmentally conscious and car takes up space.
Yeah. Uh, and it costs a lot of money. Yeah,
that's right.
Good. Good.
Less is more.
Less is more or you get more with less.
Exactly.
Couldn't resist that. Sorry.
Yeah, that was a great one. Okay, I have to go now.
Okay, me too. I got to get on to my work. Okay, thanks a lot. Thank you. Okay, bye. Bye.
