CO2 monitors before the COVID started, I didn't know about CO2 monitors.
Of course, I studied science and university so I knew that you could monitor CO2, but I didn't know that you could buy simple ones for your house or school.
We were looking at ways to make our classrooms safer.
And one person came up with the idea of buying the CO2 monitors.
I found one on Amazon and it was cheap and I bought it.
I think it's great.
I can look at that monitor and see exactly how much co two is in my classroom.
Although to be honest, I think it's a little bit fishy.
I can be sitting in the classroom well, ventilated, nothing change.
And then I turn on the heater and the CO2 concentration goes up.
Even though the ventilation is the same, the number of people is the same, nothing changes.
So I think it's not perfect but it's a really good indicator and it's better than nothing at all.
And I know one more thing After students leave my class.
If I open the classroom, I mean, I open the doors and windows for 3-5 minutes.
The CO2 rating goes down visibly.
So I think it's a pretty good thing and It also tells me just how fresh the air is.
So I'm really, really happy with my CO2 monitor.
I'm not sure you need one in the house, but it might be a good idea, especially if you had like, uh, gas heaters or if you're cooking with gas in a kitchen, it's good to have ventilation and you don't know how much co two is in there.
You can't smell it, you can't tell it.
So, the CO2 monitor is probably a really good idea for everyone.
Do you have a CO2 monitor in your house?
