Hi, welcome to the last part Perras podcast again today.

This is episode 276 and it's about Uno.

Have you ever played the card game, Uno? I think it comes out of Spain.

It's tremendously popular among kids and it seems like it never loses popularity.

Of course, there's many other uno derived games, derivative games in my English classroom downstairs.

I have a whole collection of games that are based off the UNO pattern and kids love to play it every single class.

Fortunately, the version that I play only lasts 2 to 5 minutes.

So it doesn't take a lot of class time and it's really good for their English.

But the game Uno can last uh somewhat longer.

That's one of the beautiful things.

If you're in a group at a party, you can play Uno and the games don't take a long time.

It's a great little communication builder, Icebreaker or just pastime a way to spend time with your family or friends.

It's easy and it's fun and almost everybody likes Uno, even people who don't like Uno, don't mind playing it because it's so simple and it's still making money.

They're still selling uno decks and they're still selling them every year.

I don't know about the guy who invented UNO, I didn't do any research for this topic, but he must be laughing all the way to the bank because Uno just keeps selling, they have Uno, in Japanese, they have Uno in English.

I haven't seen other versions or other languages but I'm sure just having those two languages makes a lot of money and it indicates that UNO is probably translated into tens, if not hundreds other languages.

It's a great game and even Children can play it because the rules are so simple.

Let's think about Christmas time.

If you have some time at Christmas, get an UNO game, sit down and play with your family, play with your friends.

It's a great way to make good connections and get away from some of the high technology that is pulling us into our screen worlds and away from the connections around us.

That's it for today's podcast at the Les Perras podcast.

And I'd like to say thanks for listening.
