Les Perras Bio
A Canadian living abroad in Japan, Les Perras has been teaching in his own English conversation school for over twenty years. He also lived in Africa from 1990 to 1992 in Pitseng, Lesotho. Les has made English listening practice the cornerstone of his teaching since the beginning of his English conversation business.
He began teaching in Africa in 1990 after graduating from the University of Alberta with a Science degree and an Education degree. He taught Science in Canada for 5 years before moving to Japan.
His hobbies are computers and meditation, although he did extensive rock climbing and mountaineering in the 1980’s and 1990’s. He lives with his wife and two sons in Ikoma, Japan.
Les holds a degree in Science and a degree in Education. He has been teaching most of his adult life. He has a passion for finding ways to make listening practice easier or more efficient. He also enjoys rock climbing, computer programming, and meditation.
